Last days of 1941 summer, the era of Obligation, during the famine atmosphere of the Second World War. In the middle of all this poverty and turmoil, there are two poets in their early twenties: "Muzaffer Tayyip Uslu" and "Rustu Onur". They have been carrying tuberculosis germs in their lungs and love of poetry in their hearts for years. Two poets who have the constant habit of making bets on things that they do not own, make a bet on a beautiful girl. They will both write a poem for her and whichever "Suzan" likes, the other will fade from the scene.

My honest review:

"All we know is to keep our record, The rest is the will of the Lord"

One of the best films I've ever seen. Every bit of it has been nourished by its artists through their performances. The story as well as the music used in the film has become its beauty. The audience will witness the survival of two unknown poets who fights for their fortune and love against TB. A film about the hunger for beauty. that definition gives the entire special bitter atmosphere for a not complicated film about two young men, a friendship and a girl.

The cast is very good and their performance is so extraordinary that makes the story more touchy. This movie has successfully introduced those two poets and their sad story to the world.

Two young poets, Kivanc Tatlitug and Mert Firat just make you feel each and every moment of their life, their pain and their happiness so perfectly. A friendship that is bond with life and death. The flavors, the decisions, the frame of soap opera and the scent of old films, the traces of tradition and the delicate story are mixed in a wise science of essence exploration. it is one of the necessaries proofs about the art of Kivanc Tatlitug who is more than a handsome guy displayed on screens but rather an ideal choice for soap operas but, in some measure, for the art of Yimalz Erdogan. sentimental in a deep measure, it is one of the beautiful occasions to discover the roots and the force of cultural space. and that fact is the basis for the feeling to be front to a personal experience more than a film. because each piece seems to be so real and the case of two young Turkish poets has the virtue to be universal.

In the poetic view, this movie included a number of beautiful poems. Every one of those is spectacular. One of those has been given earlier.
